Let's consider each of them: metal brackets - the most widespread and at the same time affordable construction, which is fixed on the outer surface of the tooth, is a strong and reliable fixation. Ceramic braces - its advantage is the aesthetic side, unlike metal braces, it repeats the color of the tooth and is less noticeable. Lingual braces are fixed on the inner surface of the tooth and are used in relatively mild cases. Self-ligating braces are vestibular fixation. Treatment is performed with weakly acting forces. In most cases, it does not require tooth extraction and is very comfortable. Hygiene is also significantly simplified. Orthodontic treatment of removable structures is possible with individual caps - aligners. The advantage of treatment with caps is that it is not visible, it can be removed as needed, and at the same time it is a comfortable construction. Its treatment period does not require regular visits to the doctor and hygiene is also very simplified. "Dunblanc" recommends that from the age of five, it is recommended to conduct an orthodontic consultation for all children, because the formation of pathological dentition begins at an early age. The cause of these disorders is bad habits (sucking a finger or a dummy, biting the lips, placing the tongue between the teeth), incorrect breathing and swallowing, genetics and other factors. If necessary, the orthodontist will offer you appropriate treatment. The duration of orthodontic treatment depends on the complexity of the condition, starting from 6 months and lasting up to 2 years.
